The Unforgettable Nightmare

One day, I had a nightmare and it appeared that the world was divided into two parts with a very high wall that reaches to the heaven as a demarcation and women were kept in one part while men were kept in the other and the women were like: "We don't have to worry ourselves, it's obvious our men cannot survive over there without us, they will surely look for a way to break this wall so they could reach us here." And the men in their own part were like: "We know our women very well, they cannot survive a day or two over there without us, they will definitely look for a way to reach out to us here. So, we don't have to panic." At this juncture, I startled and woke up. Guess what I did as I woke up; I rushed to my sister's room to confirm if they are there. On getting there, I couldn't find any of them. What? This can't be true! I told myself. At this point, my heart beat was pulsating faster than normal. I was about to make a dash to my mom...

When you don't know what it Truly means to Love your Neighbour as Yourself

If I ask you now, do you love your neighbours as God has instructed in the scriptures? you will quickly answer in the affirmative: "Of course I love my neighbours as myself." But tell me, how can you say you love your neighbour as  yourself when you know very well that they are no more selling 4 cups of Garri for #100 which your neighbour is still selling for you out of ignorance and you don't inform her, but you keep on buying from her at the old price? Do you want to kill her?

Diet Scam

I wish I know where to purchase the type of spectacles that will help me see through those stuffs they call Meat pie before buying them...I'm just tired of buying Macaroni pie in the name of Meat pie. They call it meat pie but when you open it macaroni slaps your mouth. This is a very serious diet scam and it must stop!

Why You Should be Careful of What You Wish for

A couple had been married for 25 years and were celebrating their 60th birthdays, which fell on the same day. During the celebration, a fairy appeared and said that because they had been such a loving couple for all 25 years, she would give them one wish each. The wife said she would like to travel around the world. The Fairy waved her hand, and boom! she had the tickets in her hand. Now, it’s the husband’s turn. He paused for a moment, then said shyly,  “Well, I’d like to have a woman 30 years younger than me.” The Fairy picked up her wand, and boom! he was 90. Moral:  Be careful what you wish for.

When Your Commodity is Priced as if it is Stolen Goods

A man who sold brooms went into a barber’s shop to get shaved. The barber bought one of his brooms and when he had shaved him, asked for the price of it. “Fifty Naira,” the man said. “No, no, said the barber. I’ll give you twenty naira, and if you don’t think that’s enough, you may take your broom with you as you leave.” The man took his broom and asked the barber what he had to pay for his shave. “Hundred Naira,” the barber replied. “No, no, I’ll give you fifty naira, and if that’s not enough, you may put my beard on again.”

You and Your Mother's Pot of Soup

When the boy shows up you are like"oh my good friend, is this your house?" and the boy is like "No o it's our farmyard, idiot, you thought you will never enter my trap." Now you wish the ground should just open and swallow you up....that's when you learn to be kind to others....lol!

ITK (I too know) knows Nothing

Remember that awkward moment in the classroom where you raised your hand in every questions the teacher asks because you know that he will not ask you as his believe is that you know the correct answer, but this time around he asks you to your greatest surprise and you are like...."Sir I wanted to take an excuse so I could go and ease myself...and the teacher was like.."answer my question first and I'll excuse you."

Symptom of Poverty

I overheard someone saying that if you soak garri and leave it for a while so it could rise before you sip that it's a clear symptom of poverty. B ut come to think of it, how can I buy one cup of garri for #100 and not economize it the way I want, even if it's symptom of poverty or not who cares? Why did I even study economics in school, was it not for times like this?

(Hulton Archive/Getty Images)The knight and squire from the Ellesmere manuscript, an early 15th century manuscript of Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. (Hulton Archive/Getty Images) Geoffrey Chaucer, author of the 1392 story collection The Canterbury Tales, perhaps wrote the first recorded association between April 1 and foolishness. However, he did not use the term “April Fools” and his writing is open to interpretation. The April Fools text comes from The Nun’s Priest’s Tale, which tells the story of a rooster outwitting a fox. Why It Is Not Always Wise to Act On What You See On Movies

Why it is not wise to act on what you see on some movies.  After watching a romantic movie where a young man who was in love with a lady eventually decided to propose to her by inserting the engagement ring into an Apple fruit and gave it to the lady to eat only for her to realize at just a bite that there was a ring inside, a guy decided to try same with a lady he loves. But unfortunately for him, the lady swallowed the ring while eating and it hung in her throat such that it calls for her immediate hospitalization.  Now she's in the hospital bed all in the name of love proposal and a borrowed ethic by her lover. Consequently, the guy is now rallying around to gather money for her bills; the very resource he would have saved for the marriage if he had done things the right way and avoided acting on what he saw on the movies.   Moral Lesson: It's dangerous to act on what you see on movies. The Lifestyle in some movies is totally different from real life situat...

A Brief History of Bluetooth

A short history of Bluetooth The birth and commercialization of the ubiquitous short-range wireless technology was more protracted than you might think Depending on who you ask, Bluetooth wireless technology’s history starts over one thousand years ago, in the Second World War, or in the early 90s. The idea for the Bluetooth name came from Jim Kardach of Intel, who was reading a historical novel about Vikings and King Harald Blåtand at the time. (Courtesy: Intel Free Press) The name is the link to the distant past. “Bluetooth” is derived from the nickname of King Harald Blåtand a Dane who (somewhat violently) brought together warring factions in what are now Denmark, Norway, and Sweden into a single kingdom. King Harald reigned from 958 to 986 and got his nickname from his penchant for eating blueberries - although the less charitable claim his teeth were dyed blue from chewing the (presumably frozen) flesh of his slain enemies. However, the frequency hoppin...
